The
centre will conduct research on the use of stem cells carry out stem cell
transplants using the most modern techniques. It wil also encourage people to
donate stem cells for the treatment of a wide range of illnesses such as
leukemia, bone marrow failure, skin grafts, and corneal and heart disease.
The
center will also store stem cells for individuals in case they or their family
members need treatment in the future.
